SenSys ’03 – California
Wildfire Advisory SenSys ’03
Conference will NOT be affected by the California wildfires!!!
As you probably already know, several wildfires are burning
in Southern California. We felt we should post an advisory providing
some information to conference participants. The California Highway
Patrol has shut down several freeways in the Southern California
area, including the main artery between Arizona and the San Diego
area. Also, air travel has been affected throughout the country
because of the closing of several Southern California airports
and fires have caused travel delays at Sky Harbor and Tucson
International Airport. However, we don’t anticipate
that travel to and from Los Angeles International Airport will
be
affected by this natural disaster.
AAA is advising all travelers to check road conditions and
flight restrictions before leaving for California. Once again,
if you are traveling into Los Angeles International
Airport, we don’t anticipate any problems with your travel plans.
Additionally, the wildfires are burning outside of Los Angeles
city areas, and we anticipate no problems with SenSys ’03
Conference going on as scheduled.
