Title:"Bioscope: Actuated Sensor Network for Biological Science"
  • MS. Electrical Engineering; University Of Southern California (USC); 2000-2002.
  • BS. Electrical Engineering; Tehran University (UT); 1992-1996.

Professional Experiences
  • Research Staff, Center For Embedded Networked Sensing (CENS), USA; 2002-Current.
My job includes supervising students, building systems, leading and conducting broad research in embedded systems, wireless networks, sensor networks and mobile phone technology.I pursue inter-disciplinary research in collaboration with industrial partners and faculties in UCLA.
  • Graduate Research Student, Information Sciences Institute (ISI), USA; 2001-2002.
Reserach and developement of a low-power wireless network node, including the hardware and software. The platform uses a PIC micro-controller from Microchip Technology, Inc. and a low power OOK Radio from RFM Technology, Inc. We successfully implemented and tested various communication layers.
  • Graduate Research Student, University of Southern California (USC), USA; 2000-2001.
Developement of a low-power wireless mobile robot for large scale experimentation and develop- ments. The robot, has been used in various projects including investigating the mobile systems that harvest environmental energy as well as various wireless network coverage maximization issues.
  • Research Engineer, IRAN; 1996-2000.
Designing various classes of power management boards. I designed instrumentation and data acquisition systems for various sensors including thermocouples and strain-gauges. I contributed to the design and development of audio and video systems.
